London Loot for Meningitis Research Foundation on 27/03/13

Postby susie-MRF » Tue Jan 08, 2013 11:46 am

Happy New Year!!!

I'm very excited to announce the dates of this years Loot 26th-29th March collecting on the 27th and 28th!!!

There's a few changes this year, mainly that we're not staying at the Generator, but instead we are going to be based at LSE, staying at Rosebery Hall. Hopefully this should mean better beds and nicer breakfasts :D

Hope to see lots of you there

I am rearranging my project so I am in the country for this. LSE halls, eh? How very retro. Can't wait until one of the children complains that "it wasn't like this in the old days when we stayed at the generator".

I've pencilled this is in quite firmly, time off work shouldn't be a problem and I need to be in the UK that weekend anyway. It will have been a year (ish, given variable Easter dates) since my last collection...

That's a shame Ian, hopefully this year Londoners will be more generous so there will be more going on!

Great to hear you're on board Alex.

Anyone else keen?

We've got all our permits confirmed now so if anyone wants to be super nice to me I can send across permit lists for you to have a look at. A lot of the Mainline stations require names in advance so if anyone fancies collecting at any of the stations below, let me know and I can pop your names down.

Kings Cross
Liverpool Street
Waterloo
London Bridge
St Pancras
Euston
Cannon Street
Victoria
Charing Cross
Paddington

Cheers Guys, looking forward to seeing you soon!

Hiya all!

I can't get time off for either day, but my postround should be finished fairly early in the afternoon and let me get into london for ~4pm. Want a hand/ have a space for someone who can only do evening rush (but do it quite hard)?

I've got the time off work so I'll be heading down if there's room for me. I take it the LSE have forgotten about the last time Loot was held there?

Hi Jon/ Mills,

Great to see you are up for collecting at Loot this year, Rush hour collecting is very welcome, I'm guessing you don't need accommodation Mills? If you could email me your number I can give you a call/ text next week with a station, or you can pop into Rosebery if that's easier on Weds/ Thursday eve.

Jon I've sent you all the check-in info.

Any questions give me a shout!

1 week to go! :)

As far as I know I've got 3 spots bagged on there for me, Dave Smith and Laura Ryves (Kent Rag) - superheroes costume if that's your kind of thing.
